Praveen Devarsetty
Praveen Devarsetty is the Program Head for Primary Healthcare Research at the George Institute for Global Health, India. He is a public health specialist with thorough knowledge of epidemiological study designs and with a keen interest in systems based innovations to address inequities related to chronic diseases. He has intensive experience in developing and implementing large population-based primary care research programs involving the use of e/m-health strategies in India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Thailand. He is also the elected co-chair of the hypertension research program of Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases, a collaboration of major research funding agencies to specifically address chronic non-communicable diseases.
Manushi Sharma
Manushi has a background in Pharmacy and Health Economics. She has six years of work experience at the intersection of health economics and project management with various stakeholders in the Asia-Pacific region. Previously, she has worked with the Public Health Foundation of India in the development of sustainable health financing mechanisms for the different states in India; and, with the nodal agency for health technology assessment (HTA) of the Thai Ministry of Public Health. At George, she will work with the Primary Health Care Research Consortium (PHCRC).
